(A While) [07 May 2007|05:34am] [ mood | anxious ] Sorry that it has been so long since an update, college gets away with murder on personal time. However, good news that I only have approximately three days of mandatory class time and about two days of scrambling to get things together. Tomorrow or rather later on today I have do my final photo shoot and put together my final portfolio. I also have to finish two outstanding drawing assignments, and study for my history final. Then goodbye OCC for a while at least, the bad part is now I no darkroom, unless I shell out a hundred fifty dollars to use the SU darkroom over the summer semester, which might be awesome, because I won't have any/many restrictions like I have at OCC, hurray-- possibly. My life feels a mess however, I have three months and twenty plus days to figure everything out, I'm actually very excited about this summer as oppose to other summers, like my travesty of a vacation last year. I have lots of plans in the works, like scanning my photos for upload. About high time I do that and try to get some exposure from the World Wide Web. Also trying to find work. My six months and some day at the TPP didn't mean anything since I was laid off back in March (the 26th to be exact). So basically I want to work as a freelance photographer and graphic designer for a while, not like anyone needs one around here. However, I'll figure something. I always said I wanted to shoot pornography like Suicide Girls, however, incorporate boys, tone down the lesbian scenes and bring in some fags and what not. Kind of like Burning Boys, if they'd ever get their sight back up and running. But more-- sort of like No Fauxxx, but in black and white with lots of contrast. Though I've seen some stuff shot in color: Kodak Ectochrome e200, which is a 120 (medium format), but apparently comes in 35mm, which produces some wonderful stuff. So we'll see where it goes. I would most likely start my own business with no business experience. I could basically figure it out though, how do membership sites work anyways. I also want to start something with short film, haha, how cliché. Photography major interested in short film-- pfft. However, after seeing the... um "artists" doing it I do believe I could do just as good, if not better. Script writing??? Fashioning designing to, I've been collecting ideas for-- I don't know years and now it's time to do something with them except letting them get dusty in my head. Who knows what will happen, however, I do know that I have to get off my ass. Love.

(Snow) [15 Feb 2007|01:18am] Even though I was througly thrilled that there was a freak snow storm (nor'eastern or whatever) it was still sort of a drag. Because I did have plans for a movie night tonight with Raychel. I called her tonight before I went off and did something else, apparently she's sleeping or whatever. I probably should be to. Luckily campus was closed today, along with everything else in the vacinity. The snow will put a damper on me going to galleries tomorrow night, as well as going to Andi's show Saturday. At least I found my I.D. (yea I'm forgetfull when it concerns me keeping shit safe, thanks). I know beyond a shadow of a doubt Andi's show will be an awesome photo opportunity. As for me taking photos in the academic sense I haven't even given it a bit of though. Which is bad since it's most likely due next week Wednesday. My "self-portrait" it doesn't necessairly have to be of me. But objects, moods, places, things, which reflect my personality. I don't rightly know what my personality is. I'm a weirdo, nerd, awesome, rock star, obessionist, shit talker, blunt observationist, ameture literati, poet, photographer, lazy, wallower. Whatever.
